Making design for yourself is tough. A designer will naturally progress in skill and experience changes in taste. This makes creating a long lasting brand for yourself very difficult. I have always found fault in my logo, website, business cards, etc... Which makes promoting myself impossible; for example, i may have a pocket full of business cards, but i dont like how they look anymore, so they will stay in my pocket.
With that said, i have made a attempt to create a better, hopefully more timeless logo mark for myself. The pictures above shows what that logo would look like on a potential business card. Any comments would be sincerely considered.

ReplyDeleteIt's classy. This would look slick on a business card or engraved on a pair of cuff links.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you choose the right card stock you can never go wrong.
ReplyDeleteOverall I am digging the less-is-more approach on the card design. I like the back of the card (or is it the front) with your information, but I am not digging the "P" on the other side. I think you can make better use of that space.
consider this, the more that i look at it, the more i like it. it may just be the icy blue backing though.
ReplyDeletei like it. the "P" on (what I'm going to call) the front of the card looks like deconstructed caligraphy and the composition is interesting enough to hold my attention. i like the contrast of this classic image with the "icy blue" on the back. great color. i might like to see something different with the font on the back, though.
ReplyDeleteok, after thinking about it some more, i've decided that I like the font on the back.
